Dr. Kelechi Lawrence is a seasoned pharmaceutical professional with over 15 years of experience in global project management, business operations, and pharmaceutical study management. Based in Wilmington, Delaware, he has held leadership positions in business development, clinical trial management, project management, and medical affairs at global pharmaceutical companies including Endo Pharmaceuticals, KPS Life, and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK).
At Endo Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Lawrence developed and executed strategic plans to enhance brand visibility and stakeholder engagement. At KPS Life, he facilitated alliance governance milestones and drove strategic partnerships. His tenure at Sunrise Systems was marked by implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, reducing cycle times, and managing change initiatives. At GSK, he led vaccine operations and field monitoring, delivering projects ahead of schedule and achieving significant cost savings.
Dr. Lawrence has championed the establishment of the Delaware Global African Center, a leading international trade and diplomatic advocacy hub. He is the founding president of the Delaware Africa Coalition, a non-profit organization advocating for people of African descent in Delaware. He actively volunteers on various community and nonprofit boards, chairs the Delaware African and Caribbean Affairs Commission, and has received numerous professional and civic honors. He has led successful trade and medical missions to Nigeria, serves as a founding advisor to the Association of Good Clinical Practice in Nigeria (AGCPN), and is a member of the Nigerian Clinical Trial Technical Working Group. He also served on the transition team of Governor John Carney of Delaware.
Dr. Lawrence holds a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the Medical University of South Carolina, completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and has an MBA in Marketing/Finance from the University of Delaware. He is a certified Six Sigma professional and fluent in English and Igbo. Dr. Lawrence has published several scientific articles and has given scientific and civic presentations to different local, national and international audiences. He is the concept innovator of the Tourism Fair and Economic Summit 2024Ā and brings a global perspective and a commitment to excellence in all his endeavors.
