Dr. Mujahid Nyahuma

Biography

Dr. Mujahid Nyahuma is the President and CEO of GLO-CHEM INTERNATIONAL, INC. He holds BA degrees in Economics and Social Relations (Windham College), an MA in Political Science, International Development (Binghamton University), and a PhD (Honorus Causa) in Health Policy/Political Economy (Houdegbe North American University, Benin).

Dr. Nyahuma has also completed advanced studies in International Relations and participated in business and finance courses at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He was a Rotary Graduate Research Fellow at the London School of Economics, and is currently a Senior Scholar in the School of Population Health at Thomas Jefferson University and an adjunct professor at Rowan University School of Business and Africana Studies.

Certified as an International Trade and Business Consultant with the State of Pennsylvania, Dr. Nyahuma provides consulting services to healthcare and technology firms in the Mid-Atlantic Region, Canada, the Caribbean, South America, and Africa. With over 30 years of experience, he has directed clinical trial initiatives and healthcare technology missions across various countries, including Canada, China, Korea, Japan, and several African nations.

Dr. Nyahuma played a key role in implementing a global trade, investment, and tourism program for the City of Philadelphia, hosting and organizing numerous trade missions that resulted in over $350 million in investments within five years. He also served as the Director of the Investment Recovery Program for the Hospital and Educational Facilities Authority of Philadelphia, developing strategic investment programs and facilitating collaborations among hospitals, academic medical centers, and foreign investors.

Involved in international projects to enhance cultural, educational, healthcare, and business relationships, Dr. Nyahuma is a founding member and Vice President of the Delaware Africa Coalition (DAC). DAC’s mission is to strengthen social, economic, cultural, and political ties among people of African descent. Dr. Nyahuma is also the President and CEO of HealthLink International, a STEAM institute for K-12 students and adult education. He chaired a pre-conference workshop at the 7th International Conference on ICT for Development, Education, and Training in Benin, focusing on eLearning healthcare technology infrastructure in Africa.

Dr. Nyahuma has participated in the model African Union and is the Founding Treasurer/Chairman of the Ogontz Avenue Revitalization Corporation (OARC), a non-profit community economic development organization. He is a former board member of CITECH, a non-profit organization that tests medical equipment for safety and performance.
