The EmpowerHer Summit 2024: Advancing Women’s Leadership is an exclusive forum hosted by the  Delaware Africa Coalition as a pre-summit event leading up to the Tourism Fair and Economic Summit 2024. This prestigious gathering will bring together First Ladies, dignitaries, and influential leaders from Africa, the Caribbean, and beyond to explore and champion the pivotal role of women’s leadership in driving global progress.

The theme, “Empowering Voices, Shaping Futures: Leadership and Advocacy for Women and Girls” is a call to action, aiming to amplify the voices of women leaders who are at the forefront of promoting gender equality and empowering the next generation of girls. The forum will feature a keynote address from a distinguished First Lady and a panel discussion that will delve into the most pressing issues affecting women and girls in the focus regions.

This event is designed not only to inspire but also to foster collaboration among global leaders dedicated to advancing women’s leadership and advocacy. It is an opportunity to share innovative strategies, best practices, and build partnerships that will have a lasting impact on the lives of women and girls.

By the end of the summit, the participants will be able to:
1.  Explain the importance of women’s leadership in global development

2.  Recognize and describe effective strategies for fostering collaboration among First Ladies, government officials, and global leaders to advance initiatives to empower women and girls.

3.   Formulate actionable advocacy plans tailored to address the unique challenges faced by women and girls in different regions, drawing from shared experiences and best practices discussed during the summit.

4.   Establish strategic partnerships and alliances that support women’s leadership and empowerment initiatives, with a focus on sustainable development and global cooperation.

5.   Demonstrate a commitment to continuing advocacy efforts by identifying specific next steps and actions to be implemented within their respective communities or organizations to further the empowerment of women and girls.

2. Strategic Partnerships: Development of new partnerships and alliances between First Ladies,  government officials, and global leaders aimed at advancing women’s leadership and empowerment initiatives.

3. Actionable Strategies: Identification of concrete strategies and best practices that can be implemented to promote gender equality and empower women and girls across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Americas.

4. Global Commitment: A reinforced commitment from attendees to continue advocating for and supporting initiatives that empower women and girls, both at the grassroots and policy levels.
